  • Bile Acid Factors® is a blend of highly concentrated bile acids (also known as bile salts) derived mostly from bovine bile from the United States and/or New Zealand.
  • Bile acids are created in the liver and then stored and concentrated in the gallbladder before passing down the bile duct into the small intestine.
  • Glycocholate and taurocholate are the two main bile components in Bile Acid Factors®, and they are essential for fat absorption.
  • Bile acids are needed in the small intestine to emulsify fats for absorption. Inadequate bile acids can cause loose stools and impaired fat and fat-soluble nutrition absorption.
