Description
Inositol is easily absorbed and converted into active inositides when needed. In cell-to-cell communication, multiple types of inositol (phosphatidylinositol and inositides like IP3) are involved (e.g., transmission of nerve impulses). The brain, liver, and muscles are among the tissues that are damaged. Inositol (also known as myoinositol) is a form of glucuronic acid that is necessary for liver detoxification.
